The Materiel Controller is responsible for coordinating with power plant maintenance to schedule and procure parts worked in-house. Additionally, the Controller is responsible for procuring, routing and maintaining tracking on parts required for powerplant assemblies, aircraft components that require repair in the powerplant shops, and line replaceable units.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Controls part release and maintains optimal shop WIP to support Engine Maintenance Turn Around Time goals
Packaging parts for shipment and shop to shop movement
Maintaining accurate tracking on parts in the rework cycle
Coordinate with various groups throughout TechOps such as Materials, Outside Repair, MRO services, Engineering along with other groups to procure parts by turn around time.
Adding/deleting/updating requirements in the scheduling system
Sets shop workload priorities, stages work and resolves work stoppages
Assisting in training new personnel, as needed.
The successful candidate will be responsible consistently practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Issues, audits and maintains shop work documents in accordance with Delta/FAA standards
Responsible for maintaining parts segregation and parts protection
Aligns with Departmental safety policies and procedures, established TechOps SOPs and LMS training requirements.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
High school diploma or equivalent
Good communication skills and be able to relate well with others.
Skilled in computer systems, including PC based software (Word, Excel, Access).
Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
