The successful candidate will have 2 to 6 years of practical hydrogeologist consulting experience with structural geology and geotechnical engineering understanding. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant office experiencing rapid growth in a healthy market focused on infrastructure development, specifically in the underground sector.

As an entry-mid level hydrogeologist you will work closely with our experienced team to conduct hydrogeological investigations, analyze groundwater data, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. • Specialty areas include planning and implementation of groundwater investigations; interpretation of the impacts of construction work on the groundwater regime (including groundwater depletion and contaminated groundwater movement); prediction of inflow magnitudes at various phases of construction work; and prediction of the effects of mitigation measures such as ground support, dewatering, and various groundwater control techniques.
  • Assist in the design and conduct filed investigations including drilling, well installation, and aquifer testing.
  • Analyze and interpret hydrogeological data for groundwater system conceptualization.
  • Perform quantitative analyses and modeling of groundwater systems using standard analytical techniques, and commercial numerical programs.
  • Work on a variety of office and field assignments, with a focus on hydrogeological and geotechnical engineering analyses, development of drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical memoranda that present the basis of design.
  • Prepare written technical reports, project correspondence, field activity reports, data reports, and work plans for internal and client review.
  • Support business development and marketing activities, including preparation of cost proposals and presentations to existing and prospective clients.
Qualifications

  • BS degree in Geology or Hydrogeology, MS degree preferred.
  • 2 to 6 years of experience in hydrogeology.
  • Strong understanding of hydrogeological principles, field data collection, and numerical modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW) and coding languages (e.g., Python).
  • Proficiency in GIS for spatial analysis and visualization.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
