The Senior Technician assists the department supervisior/manager with coordinating production and quality quotas, as well as turn-around-time (T.A.T.). Participates with the department manager in the planning and training of personnel, as well as acting as focus point in developing and maintaining quality and productivity goals within the team.
Responsibilities
The role and responsibilities will include the following:
- Assists in training of new hires and re-training of existing personnel in order to meet and improve quality and productivity goals.
- Assists the department manager in relaying and collecting information, technical problems, and ideas that will enhance quality and productivity.
- Coordinates training efforts with the manager and other senior technicians in order to meet established standards and good manufacturing practices.
- Refers all personnel issues, such as conflicts, vacation issues, tardiness, or personal problems to the department manager.
- Analyzes problem instruments with technicians and identifies training needs or other corrective actions.
- Maintains tools and equipment, orders spare parts and adheres strictly to all safety guidelines.
- Keeps up to date with current ITE procedures and technology.
- Assists/substitutes other senior technicians as needed within operations.
- Keeps work areas clean and organized.
Qualifications
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, in addition to good written and oral communication skills in English, good eyesight, hearing, and manual dexterity. Must be able to work in a team environment with minimum supervision.
