Director, Procurement Process Excellence

Dematic is growing and looking for key talent to join our winning team. Currently, we are looking to add a Process Excellence Director to join Dematic’s Procurement Business Office (PBO). Reporting to the Sr. Director of the Global PBO, this is an exciting opportunity for experienced change agent to drive Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and overall Process Excellence activities that will push our organizational performance to world-class. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading procurement organizations and processes, as well as demonstrated capability in process improvement/administrative lean/system optimization. This includes working with global Procurement talent and cross-functional groups to map the end-to-end process and define all inputs, outputs, and stakeholders across the organization. You will examine current processes in all regions to identify inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and internal control gaps. In addition, you will define and implement appropriate process enhancements to address identified gaps and support consistency across the global P2P organization. The goal is to integrate processes with cross-functional groups that make up the end-to-end P2P process. Process Excellence Overall, you will also lead global business process design, documentation and platform technology tools for Procurement to provide solutions that enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge. This responsibility will be achieved by: analyzing current processes to understand strengths and weaknesses translating Procurement’s current and future business requirements into functional specs for the IT organization lead the identification of Procurement-relevant technology tools and solutions determining opportunities to automate processes and functions, and developing and tracking appropriate KPIs for Procurement processes In addition, you will be responsible for alignment of processes within Procurement’s ERP systems (i.e. SAP and Syteline) to ensure efficient and compliant workflows. This will require building strong relationships with cross-functional colleagues and leadership in all regions This role presents a great opportunity for a seasoned procurement leader who is passionate about enabling next level procurement processes and strategy to drive efficiency, compliance, and professionalism. Tasks and Qualifications: What We are Looking For: University or Advanced Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or other related field Preferred procurement/supply chain certification (CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent). Preferred 8-10 years of direct experience in Procurement/Purchasing roles Proficient to expert-level data analysis and reporting skills Strong utilization of MS Office (Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Experience working in and/or using SAP (superuser preferred) or other ERP system Process mapping experience required Strong attention to detail Strong communication skills, written, spoken, and presentation Demonstrated collaboration across a heavily matrixed organization Written and spoken English capability is required; preference for multilingual Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment Ability to build strong internal and cross-functional relationships Lean and/or Six Sigma preferred Experience with Shared services preferred Ability to travel up to 25%
