About this position:
Primary Job Responsibilities
Materials Purchasing:
- Use ERP system (IQMS) and interact with production department to determine material requirements for production orders (resin, components, packaging, etc)
- Determine economical purchase quantities and optimal inventory levels
- Negotiate pricing and order terms with vendors
- Write and place purchase orders with vendors; ensure that orders are confirmed
- Monitor production requirements for changes in material requirements (quantity changes, pull-ins, pushouts, etc)
- Communicate vendor delays to production department
- Maintain materials pricing in IQMS
- Work with vendors to ensure 100% on-time delivery
- Resolve nonconformances with vendors
- Drive improved vendor performance through the use of standard scorecards
- Assist with new vendor sourcing and qualification process
Supplies Purchasing:
- Place purchase orders for MRO supplies and maintenance items, as needed / requested by operational personnel
Education and Job Skill Requirements
- Minimum Education requirement: High School Diploma or Associate's degree
- Exceptional Attention to Detail
- Good organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of injection molding and other production processes
- Basic knowledge of ERP system use
- Strong computer skills (Windows, Access, Word, Excel, IQMS (ERP system) etc)
- Superior communications skills, both verbal and written
- Friendly, professional manner

- Use of hands 100% of the workday
- 20/20 vision required with or without correction
- Ability to stand or walk 25% of the workday
