The mission of our schools is to educate responsible citizen scholars for success in a college of their choice and a life of active citizenship. With direction from the Vice President of External Affairs, our Director of Enrollment sets the strategy for all student recruitment and enrollment efforts for the twenty-four schools in the Democracy Prep Public Schools network. Through their project management and data analytics skills, along with their solutions-oriented mindset and attention to detail, the Director of Enrollment will lead the charge to make sure that families in our communities apply to our schools and that we are hitting our enrollment targets every year at every campus.

What You’ll Do:
- Manage, train, and coach our central office enrollment and canvassing team, with dotted line oversight during enrollment season of members of our school-based operations teams who are directly involved in their school’s enrollment processes.
- Conduct an annual market analysis in each of the cities where Democracy Prep Public Schools serves to inform student recruitment practices, including input from parents, current scholars, families who have left the network, community leaders, and other professionals in the charter enrollment space.
- Lead enrollment strategy meetings in each of our Democracy Prep regions or coach and prepare a member of the enrollment team to do the same in your stead.
- Provide templates for all Democracy Prep regions, including but not limited to templates for open-house events, mid-year enrollment processes, and community engagement efforts.
- Draft and finalize an annual enrollment plan that includes the first level of enrollment projections across all regions with review and input from the Vice President of External Affairs.
- Support enrollment managers in holding schools accountable to following enrollment and family engagement systems
- Routinely analyze enrollment data to determine which schools in the Democracy Prep network need additional enrollment support and map out individual school enrollment plans as needed.
- Conduct data analysis for enrollment across Democracy Prep regions. Prepare and provide progress reports on enrollment across the network as well as strategies to overcome enrollment obstacles.
- Prepare and provide a year-end analysis of enrollment for stakeholders, including suggestions for improvement in the coming year.
- Oversee the development and revision of recruitment materials on an annual basis.
- Oversee vendor relationships to ensure that the external affairs team has the necessary marketing materials and digital resources to communicate with families, the community, and other stakeholders.
- Lead partnership with our Senior Manager of External Affairs and our External Affairs Associate to plan and execute social media campaigns that engage current and prospective families.
- Manage our application portal and SchoolMint, and evaluate enrollment systems to ensure ease of use from all stakeholders.
- Complete other enrollment and marketed related tasks as designated by the Vice President of External Affairs.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Enrollment and Family Engagement
Ideal candidate:
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree program
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in enrollment management or related field
- Proven track record of successfully leading enrollment strategies and achieving targets
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing enrollment teams
- Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive enrollment strategies aligned with organization’s goals
- Experience in analyzing enrollment trends and leveraging data for strategic decision making
- In depth knowledge of admissions processes and best practices
- Experience in designing and executing effective student enrollment campaigns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is $105,000-$129,000, commensurate with experience. Democracy Prep employees are provided with a benefits package that includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, 403B matching, and parental leave.
