Housekeeping
- Cleans and services assigned guest rooms in a timely and organized manner according to procedures and quality standards.
- Completes a list of rooms to clean and may be asked to clean public areas daily.
- Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
- Make beds and fold sheets.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms including tubs/showers, whirlpools, sinks, and toilets.
- Remove trash, dirty linens and room service items.
- Dusts, cleans, and straightens furniture.
- Remove marks from walls and furnishings.
- Clean appliances (microwave, refrigerators, t.v.’s, etc.)
- Vacuums all areas according to schedule or when needed.
- Clean windows and mirrors.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Maintains linen cart and supplies neat and organized to department standards.
- Maintains security of equipment, keys, and supplies issued every day.
- Reports any needed repairs of unsafe conditions to supervisor.
Administrative
- Records status of room on daily room assignment when service is complete.
- Reports any room unable to be serviced within appropriate time standards to supervisor.
- Responds to requests from supervisors or management in a timely and professional manner..
- Complete shift checklist before the end of the shift.
- Maintain communication with other departments so that all staff are on the same page.
- Follows procedures for team cleaning and room inspection program as directed.
- Follow established safety procedures and precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
- Follow proper techniques, including using appropriate personal protective
- equipment (PPE), when mixing chemicals, disinfectants and solutions used for cleaning.
- Keep supervisor informed of supply needs.
