Position type and expected hours of work: Hours of work will depend on the job event and manager. Evening, night, and weekend work will be required as job duties demand.

Summary: Set up, tear down, and operate and maintain a mobile belt press at various Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment Plants.
Essential functions:
- General maintenance and operation of a mobile belt press
- Clean equipment and the surrounding area (shoveling and washing)
- Abide by regulatory compliance and safety guidelines
- Operate a truck on-site to move trailers for loading
- Operate additional pumps on site
- Maintain production log Operates Belt Press by adjusting machine variables, such as belt speed (turning a dial or push button), operates Centrifuge by adjusting machine variables, such as bowl speed and scroll speed (turning a dial or push button), polymer dosage (dial or button), setting sludge pump speeds (dial or button) and dictating feed requirements in terms of sludge density from the tank, observes machine performance to guide subsequent adjustments to the operating parameters.
- Performs basic machine routine maintenance, including lubrication
- lift capacity 75 pounds minimum,
- must read, write, speak, and understand English,
- Be able to control 125psi fire hose
- Be able to work in confined spaces with proper training, descending ladders up to 50’ in depth
Competency: Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbally. Must be able to work without direct supervision. Hold a driver's license. Be able to work flexible hours - including overtime and weekends. Basic mathematical skills and tool knowledge. Ability to work on a face-paced schedule. Ability to complete a Basic Wastewater Operation Course and obtain a Class D Wastewater Operator's License. This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. Work environment: Perform minor mechanical duties in a garage and periodically in the field and is frequently exposed to heavy equipment, moving parts, noise, dust, grease, vehicle fumes, fuels, and cleaning chemicals normally associated with auto maintenance and repair. Also, performs operational duties outdoors and may be exposed to extreme temperatures, inclement weather, and traffic. Safety precautions must always be followed to avoid injury to self and others. Out of town may be seldom to occasional.
Physical demands: To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, climb and hear. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk. The employee must occasionally lift. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel: Travel may be frequent depending on the job assigned.
Preferred education and experience: High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
