Denbury is currently searching for a Landman to work at our Lafayette, LA field office supporting CCUS and traditional oil and gas operations in the area. The position will report to the Regional Land Manager and would be best filled by an experienced individual with a background in Land Management.

The position will be responsible for:
- Negotiation and acquisition of land-related deals
- Preparation and management of oil and gas leases, rights-of-way, surface use agreements, storage agreements, and damage settlements
- Interacting with governmental regulatory agencies and providing reports and related documentation as required
- Providing land support and documentation to Denbury's legal and business units as required
- Conducting, coordinating, and managing title research related to both the surface and mineral estate
- Serving as company liaison to landowners and working to resolve the issue(s) which might arise during operations
- Manage field brokers and review purchase and title reports, invoices, etc.
Desired Skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
- 10 years experience as a Landman – with 5 years of in-house experience
- Ability to carry out most projects independently
- Willing to travel at times, as needed to complete projects
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
- Proven analytical skills
- Willingness to work on a multi-functional team
Environment & Physical Demands
Work will primarily be conducted in an office environment; travel may be required to district and field offices and oil and gas production facilities, with the occasional need to wear personal protective equipment. The position requires the ability to communicate information frequently and manage an office environment's possible stress. Work may include being stationary for long periods, with occasional movement about the office. The ability to lift to 35 pounds is required. The position requires constant operation and viewing of a computer screen and other office machinery.
Candidate must be medically cleared to don full-face respiratory protection and complete "Pass" the annual Fit Testing requirements in accordance with the Company's Respiratory Protection Program.
