Email Marketing Specialist

Dennis Kirk, Inc, the largest aftermarket parts retailer in the world for the Powersports industry, is seeking an Email Specialist to take over strategy, delivery, and creation of the DK email efforts, as it aligns with the greater Dennis Kirk Marketing Strategy.

This role will work with the Marketing Department out of the Dennis Kirk Forest Lake, MN office. This is an on-site, full-time position.

This position has two focuses:

• Analyze, Strategy, and implement email campaigns within our Email Client - Listrak
• Design and Optimize creative for use within Email Campaigns

As part of the Analysis, strategy planning and implementation portion of the email specialist role, this person will be charged with reviewing data from our email campaigns, correlating that data to come up with better strategies for stronger delivery, and executing the delivery of email campaigns to our more than 1.2 million subscriber email list across 8 different powersports segments. Duties for this portion of the role include:

• Daily analysis of email data from campaigns sent.
• Strategizing ways to push our current campaigns further, while finding new ways to engage our audience and drive revenue.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar for emails that aligns with seasonal marketing efforts, business decisions and promo material from vendors.
• Refine our overall approach within the Listrak System to help us take advantage of tools and other products we currently are not utilizing.
• Scheduling emails within the Listrak System to be delivered in accordance with the content calendar.
• Testing of creatives and delivery prior to message sends.
• Management of all content uploaded to the Listrak System to keep clean and organized.

To help keep our production flow working properly, we ask that that those applying for this role have some design capabilities with Adobe Creative suit. This position works closely with our Sr. Designer to create templates that make the creation of emails smooth and painless, helping keep the Sr. Designers que free for higher priority work. Daily Tasks could include:

• Creating emails within Adobe Creative Suit Products based on Pre-Designed Templates.
• Create new designs from scratch (where applicable) to test new creative directions.
• Cut final designs appropriately for use within the email system.

Skills Desired and Required

• Self-Starter – our small team requires someone who can step in, take simple direction, and discover the path to success.
• Ability to follow processes – our team moves effectively and efficiently thanks to our processes and use of project management tools. We require someone who can adapt to our systems, and can take the lead to move creative projects through the system.
• Adobe Creative Suit Skills Desired – our creative team works in Adobe Creative suit with Photoshop, InDesign and more. Our desire is to have someone savvy enough with these programs to pickup email templates to create for email needs, instead of email design going through the Sr. Designer.
• Team Player – our Marketing Department is small, but mighty. We need to bring someone on-board who desires to join a team that works together, creates together, and wins together.
