Minimum Job Qualifications :
---Spare Parts Technician---
- Performs all duties of the Spare Part associate in addition to.
- Must have 2 or more years of Maximo CMMS inventory control experience.
- Creation of new parts
- Classification of new parts
- Stocking new parts
- Removal or transfer of obsolete and inactive parts
- Increase/decrease OP/OQ of existing parts
- Inventory review and adjustment
- Obsolescence review, removal, and disposal
- Purchase requisition and order follow up
- Description adjustment for existing parts
- Identification of duplicate and similar parts
- Incoming ALC review and completion
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in [Microsoft Excel or SQL] to perform analysis and process data.
- Analysis skills to identify spare part deficiencies, develop solutions, and implement time sensitive changes.
- Must be able to train others on key job duties.
- Effective communication orally and verbally.
- Advanced organizational and time management efficiency [Self Managing].
- Basic understanding of 2D and 3D drawings
- Basic understanding of machine processes
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding
Job Summary:
Spare Part Technician Job Summary:
- Perform line side technical machine evaluations for part identification.
- Reviews part lists, understand part types and apply technical understanding of devices to determine the current stock, replacement types and life cycle of part from vendors to identify stock quantity needs.
- Part order reviews, processing and tracking.
- Analyzes information within our CMMS [Maximo] then processes orders as needed.
- Ability to understand more complex data and to use technical thinking to collaborate with maintenance and management on the actual spare part requirements.
- Has aptitude to learn how to develop data sets in Excel or SQL for analysis [Training and on own].
- Process and analyze information from Maximo, Excel or SQL for stock level and ordering needs.
- Issue resolution to new parts orders or stock replacement orders.
- Obsoleted part investigation to determine new or replacement. Requires technical understanding of devices in order to research new or replacement parts when discussing with technicians.
- Requires technical device knowledge and mechanical drawing reading or BOM in order to research new or replacement devices or parts. To answer vendor questions in regards to specifications.
- Creates Purchase Requisitions, Investigates for lower cost solutions, Tracks and expedites Purchase Orders.
- Will assist in monthly Xtivity part usage analysis and recommendation to update inventory values.
- Mechanical or Electrical device technology experience or education.
