Traveling Oral Surgery Dental Assistant

Currently, we are in search of an outstanding dental assistant to travel with our Oral Surgeon!

Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist experienced dentists chairside, using four-handed dentistry
• Preparation of treatment rooms, ensuring instruments and equipment are sterile
• Breakdown of treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments are returned for sterilization promptly
• Daily morning meeting and team schedule review, anticipating the doctor's needs in advance
• Set up trays as indicated by the days' charts and doctor's anticipated needs
• Greet, seat, and screen patients - communicating patient concerns effectively to the doctor
• Take alginates, pour and trim models or scan utilizing the iTero scanner
• Take diagnostic x-rays (PA, Bitewing, Panoramic, 3D/CBCT) as needed
• Keep operatory fully stocked

• Superior customer service skills, with the ability to infuse personality, empathy, and enthusiasm into each patient contact
• Must be willing to travel between Avon, Branford, Prospect, Shelton, and Vernon (subject to change).
• Must be willing to travel and train with Dr. Giovanni Ibrahim's team for 4 weeks (Danbury, New Milford, Newtown, and Shelton Offices)
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience chairside assisting in Oral Surgery & IV Sedation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider, certified through the American Heart Association
• DANB Radiation Health & Safety Certification
• DANB Infection Control Certification
• Willingness to learn & grow
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
