Overview
Dental Care Alliance is hiring a full-time Senior Tax Associate to join our team. This individual will be reporting directly to our Tax Director and will work closely with DCA’s VP of Tax. As one of the country's largest dental support organizations, we have more than 400 affiliated dental practices throughout 23 states. Formed in 1991, Dental Care Alliance is a ground-breaking dental support organization created by dentists and focused on improving the well-being of both patients and dentists.
Responsibilities
- Technical
o Preparation and review of the organization’s income tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, and 1065) and workpapers
o Review federal, state and local tax notices and draft responses
o Assist with any tax audits
o Research various tax issues and staying up-to-date on changes in tax laws
o Serve as a technical resource for tax staff
o Complete various projects, as assigned.
- Supervisory
o Supervises tax staff; defines expectations and performance indicators
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail.
o Foster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive culture
o Working closely with staff, and assisting senior management in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating staff
Qualifications
· Master's degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field
· Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word, tax preparation software (experience with CCH Prosystem fx or Axcess preferred).
· Able to work with large data, organizing and maintaining large volumes of data, and able to work under flexible conditions to meet the goals of the office.
· Outstanding time management and organizational skills
· Minimum Qualifications
o Bachelor's degree required
o 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or related field
o 1-3 years supervisory experience
