The role drives quality, safety, and productivity metrics for assigned operations department(s). Additionally, the Production Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the Leadership Team in growth, profitability, productivity, on-time delivery, and quality in assigned areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity for assigned department(s) Supervise and develop team of manufacturing employee's Complete employee performance reviews, employee relations activities, and corrective action in conjunction with Human Resources in a timely and effective manner. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment in partnership with Operations Support Staff Ensure personnel are kept informed of conditions, trends, and important activities affecting their area as well as daily results, quality issues and other business needs. Reviews hourly staffing by work area based on sales forecasts, trends in bookings, and management goals/objectives, ensure alignment with labor schedule. Manage and develop labor schedule in assigned areas. Manage labor budget in conjunction with business need for assigned areas. In conjunction with Operations, Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering, develops optimum capacity, efficiency, and profitability through the upgrading and modernization of facilities and equipment and improvements in manufacturing systems. Provide for the optimum utilization of personnel. Ensure that areas are staffed with competent personnel, and that potential supervisory personnel are being developed so that qualified successors are available for key positions within the organization. Actively ensure training and development of assigned personnel to maximize productivity across production departments. Assure compliance with regulatory directives. Assists Leadership Team in enforcing process changes following kaizen events and completing open newspaper items, as well as serving as replacement to Leadership in the event of his/her absence. Other projects and duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Qualifications: The Production Supervisor must have strong ability to influence and lead others. The Production Supervisor will need extensive capabilities for planning and project management with consideration of cost, policy, Company directives, and talent. Additionally, this person must be able to exercise independent judgment and excellent problem-solving skills to identify and remedy quality, productivity, delivery, and safety issues. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree is required. 2 years of people management experience in an assembly/manufacturing operation.
