Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the dentist during various dental procedures and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients. Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including X-rays, fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments
- Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clear field of view
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and billing
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
- Monitor vital signs of patients during procedures and provide appropriate support as needed
- Utilize CAD/CAM technology for the fabrication of dental restorations
- Practice aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- Current certification in dental radiography (X-ray certification)
- Proficient in using dental software for scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and equipment used in dentistry
- Familiarity with dental receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and billing processes
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures
