Description
Position Objective: Provide and coordinate upkeep and maintenance of the agency emergency shelters.
Employment Status: Part-Time, Nonexempt
Reports to: Director of Residential and Crisis Services
Supervises: Assigned interns and volunteers
Primary Functions:
- Responsible for ongoing cleaning and maintenance of shelter facilities.
- Responsible for supervision of household responsibilities and supplies.
- Maintain shelter facilities in a clean, tidy and organized manner at all times
- Work closely with shelter clients regarding daily upkeep of facilities and household chores.
- Coordinate shelter volunteers and maintenance needs
- Identify shelter needs and purchase needed supplies, submit receipts, and maintain a budget
- Assist in providing crisis intervention
- Participate in DCFOF staff and education meetings as requested

Requirements
Prerequisites:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Over the age of 23
- Drivers License and a clean driving record
- Proficiency in office applications such as Word and Excel
Preferences:
- Some College experience
- Bilingual in Spanish
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to easily climb stairs
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
