Denton Floyd Real Estate Group is growing! We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to oversee our company’s technology operations.
Founded in 2008, Denton Floyd Real Estate Group is a full-service real estate development company specializing in the development, design, construction, and property management of multi-family housing. The Company started with just over 300 units and since then has strategically grown to own and manage over 12,000 units since 2012 in Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio, and South Carolina. The IT Manager will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our technological infrastructure and ensuring the security and efficiency of our systems.
The position will be primarily responsible for, but not limited to, collaborating with company leadership to design and implement the overall IT, software, and related equipment needs at Denton Floyd’s corporate office and in small field offices in 18 apartment communities and growing. The IT Manager will be the lead point of contact for troubleshooting companywide PC, software and system issues, and making recommendations on potential areas of improvement to executive leadership.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide recommendations and oversee implementation of IT requirements for new apartment communities and any ongoing IT improvements, including low voltage wiring and Wi-Fi where applicable.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with divisions to identify technology needs and implement solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and services.
- Maintain and understanding of the work processes of each division and provide recommendations of best-in-class solutions for companies our size to promote efficiency and innovation, including evaluating existing software.
- Acts as a technical resource in assisting team members to resolve problems with all IT related issues.
- Resolves issues related to operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes on a regular basis.
- Manages companywide data backups.
- Implements and maintains equipment tracking software for all divisions.
- Responsible for purchase of all IT related equipment, including network gear, software, computers, phones, iPads, and A/V software.
- Responsible for development of annual companywide IT budget and managing the budget during the year.
- Responsible for annual software and technology reviews with cost savings proposals presented to executive leadership.
- Develops and implements IT policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology to recommend improvements.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
