Job Overview: As the Estimating Manager at Dents Express, you will lead and oversee the estimating department, ensuring accurate and timely vehicle assessments and repair estimates. You will manage interactions with dealers and retail customers, coordinate vehicle logistics, and ensure smooth operations throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor estimating staff. Provide guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth within the team.
- Vehicle Assessment: Oversee the evaluation of vehicles brought in from dealers across the St. Louis area and occasional walk-in retail customers. Ensure detailed and accurate repair estimates are prepared.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with dealers, other Dents Express locations, and retail customers regarding the status of vehicles, estimates, and repair timelines. Address any concerns and provide timely updates.
- Process Management: Track and manage each vehicle’s status, including estimate stage, repair stage, or return stage. Ensure that all vehicles progress smoothly through each phase of the process.
- Coordination: Organize and oversee drivers for transporting finished vehicles back to their original locations. Ensure timely and efficient delivery and pickup of vehicles.
- Documentation: Maintain and oversee accurate records of estimates, repair progress, and vehicle statuses. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Customer Service: Ensure exceptional service to all clients, handling questions or issues promptly and professionally.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to estimating processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-3 years of estimating experience required; previous management or supervisory experience preferred. Experience with CCC ONE is a plus but not mandatory. Familiarity with estimating software and repair processes is desirable.
- Organization: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vehicles and processes simultaneously. Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with dealers, customers, and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to handle unexpected issues and make informed decisions.
- Technology: Proficiency in using estimation and automotive repair software. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license to coordinate vehicle transport and perform duties related to the position.
- Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively. Proven track record of managing projects and driving team performance.
Work Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Salary:
- $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
