Join the Rocky Mountain National Park team as our Accounting / HR Clerk! Xanterra Travel Collection is looking for a supporting Accounting / HR Clerk for the Trail Ridge Store & Café. You will work closely with the property GM, controller, and managers. Open communication ensures everything runs smoothly. You will be the first point of contact for most of our employees as they arrive to work in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

The season at Rocky Mountain National Park runs from approximately mid-May until mid-October. All positions at Rocky Mountain are full-time seasonal positions, there are NO full-time year-round positions.
Job Summary:
This is a dual role position, Accounting/HR. Audits daily cash deposits, ensuring accurate numbers for both the retail and F&B departments. Confidentiality is paramount as our Accounting/HR liaison.

Responsibilities
Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties with respect to the Company’s Core Values, Mission Statement, and guest service standards.
- Preparing daily sales and cash reports, counting cash deposits, and verifying all cash sales.
- Audit the daily cash deposit, enter data in excel spreadsheets, and reconcile with Mi9 and Simphony reports. Report any deviation to the general manager and controller.
- Prepare daily bank deposits and take to the bank.
- Communicate to GM and department managers any over/shorts by cashier.
- Accurately maintain the house bank according to policy.
- Issue and receive departmental banks, and efficiently order change to keep store and office banks at par levels.
- Prepare coin machine funds for report, deposit, and payment.
- Maintain shuttle van allowance and gas log on a timely basis for controller's reference.
- Produce reports for payroll every two weeks.
- Receive and distribute payroll checks throughout the season.
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while on duty and in dealing with both employees and guests.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays.
- Will be required to work retail inventory and help close down the Trail Ridge Store.
- Perform duties outside the job classification assigned by management along with any other responsibilities deemed necessary.
HR Responsibilities:
- Communicate with employees before and after arrival, serving as a point of contact for routine enquiries, employee relations, recreation, and recruitment.
- Confirm all employees are entered into Xanterra's systems: CloudSuite, iCims, Kronos, etc.
- Maintain individual employee files ensuring all necessary documents are included.
- Maintain federal forms and confidential information is properly stored.
- Correspond with corporate HR and payroll to establish payroll information, employee ID numbers, and any other required data.
- Prepare employee badges.
- Assist General Manager with entering KRONOS timekeeping information and verification.
- Administer drug and alcohol tests.
- Available for employees to discuss concerns or issues they may be experiencing.
- Discuss with general manager, department managers, and employees, any concerns, corrective actions, employment, or transfers.
- Log any new information, transfers, pay rate adjustments, etc., into CloudSuite.
- Assist at orientation and serve as a liaison with corporate HR and Payroll to answer any employee questions or actions taken.
- Ensure all training logs are properly filled out and maintain files.
- Transport J-1’s to SSN office in Ft. Collins.
- Make arrangements, and communicate with employees for shuttle services to/from DIA.
- Know the correct procedures for fire alarms and other emergency situations at Estes Park location.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality related to personnel matters.
- Plan employee functions.
- Advertise and promote recreation activities. Assist with all employee functions.
- Assist general manager as needed.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- General cash handling experience preferred.
- Accounting degree and/or related work experience.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Motivational, organizational, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of general office procedures.
- Office machine skills, especially PC experience.
- Knowledge of the following PC software: MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS Outlook®.
- Knowledge of Kronos, iCims, helpful.
- Must have professional verbal and written communication skills, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to deal tactfully with problem situations.
- Must possess a non-CDL, valid driver’s license, and a clean record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform majority of work while sitting at a desk.
- Physical stamina and conditioning is required to withstand extensive walking, lifting, and transporting of supplies and equipment. This function may include loading company vehicles, moving supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds to and from workstations on location.
- May be asked to help at the Trail Ridge Store & Café and be able to work at an altitude of 12, 000 feet.
- Must be able to stand /walk for a minimum eight hour shift.
