Job Summary

Under general supervision performs various day-to-day operations of the research department. May be assigned research projects and programs to provide administrative, data processing support and entry-level project management. Develops subject matter expertise and troubleshoots in areas of expertise or assignment. Activities primarily support post-market drug-safety and surveillance, public health, and epidemiological studies. This position does not support bench research

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manages data intake process:

a. Develops processes to receive and track data from various sources.

b. Manages source data records.

c. Performs quality assurance review of data to ensure completeness and accuracy.

d. Communicates with data collection sites and internal and external partners regarding data delivery and quality.

2. Performs data abstraction/extraction/coding.

3. Manages literature search process including coordinating search and retrieval efforts, updating search terms for different databases, managing citation databases.

4. Summarizes literature for internal reference purposes and for deliverables.

5. Assists in development of reports and other deliverables including:

a. Integrating tables and figures.

b. Updating text of routine reports.

c. Visual validation of deliverable data.

d. Inserting citations using citation manager.

6. Formats publications for journal submission.

7. Assists in submission of IRB, FDA, and Sponsor documents and reports.

8. Assists in developing and writing work instructions and process guideline management.

9. Assists in the development of study documents including training and reference materials.

10. Trains other staff on areas of expertise.

11. Collaborates with senior scientists on scientific abstracts, reports, and other materials.

12. Prioritizes all tasks according to daily, weekly, quarterly, or annual deadlines

13. Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. High attention to detail and ability to contribute to multiple projects effectively and independently with guidance. Ability to initiate, organize, and prioritize complex tasks. Ability to apply research methods and conduct general research. Strong knowledge of spreadsheet and database programs in addition to other Microsoft Office products.

Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Experience

Two years related experience, preferred.

Salary:

$44,000.00 - $62,900.00/yr
