Clinic Manager Supervision:
- Supervision of clinical teams. (RN, MA’s, Clerical staff, Care Navigators, Social Workers, Health Educators, RNCC, Referral Coordinator, Ultrasound staff
- Clinic productivity
- Template management in collaboration with Clinic Leadership/DOS/Administrative Directors/ADoN based on clinic
- Support Template oversight:(total scheduled, percent new appointments, converted visits and educator visit oversight).Adjust quarterly based on panel size analyses and productivity.
- Support coordination and orientation of any students or residents.
- Support onboarding and orientation of all new clinic team members.
- Coaches direct reports effectively in their use of visual management.
- Studer Initiative: Leadership/ Patient rounding, provider rounding and AIDET observation/competency.
- Ensure all licensure and CPR requirements are up to date for direct reports.
- Proactively manage staff competency training.
- Adheres to Denver Health policies and procedures.
- Know and follow compliance of DH Standards of Behavior.
- Act as a role model for DH Standards of Behavior.
- Track and document patient/staff rounding on a monthly basis (include in monthly meeting).
- Adhere to standard work for monitoring and posting Patient Experience Score.
- Regular Clinic Meetings:
- Management team (PM,TL and clerical supervisor)
- Monthly clinic team meetings
- Regular provider meetings
- Monitor Quality measures, work with team to identify and initiate QI activities
- Monitor performance on DH strategic indicators, work with TL/DOS/Administrative Directors and team to communicate these to staff (with visual management board) and develop interventions.
- Oversee resident clinic operation. (if applicable)
- Communication of process changes to all staff members –(including appreciation for impact on all clinic staff).
- Collaborate with TL/DOS/Administrative Directors/ADoN and clerical supervisor to understand impact of changes on clinical care teams.
- Budget:Assist in determining annual projections. (Specialty Managers)
- Review monthly reports with TL/DOS/Administrative Directors/ADoN
- Review patient concerns and complaints with TL/DOS/Administrative Directors/ADoN
- Collaborate with TL and clinic team for recruitment, retention, orientation and hiring of clinic support staff.
- Collaborate, review and problem solve with TL/ADoN/CS to address personnel issues/accountability based performance.
- Shared responsibility withand TL/DOS/ADoN and CS for:
- Clinic processes
- Patient flow
- Team building
- Team meeting – setting agenda, conduct the meeting, etc.
- Communicate and problem solve with ancillary departments (Pharmacy, Lab, Peds- ex. process for patient transfers, Security, IS, environment services)
- Attend buildingLeadership meetings (if applicable)
- Communicate and champion ACS priorities to all clinic staff.
- Participation in Committees for the organization (optional)
- Participate in RIEs/VSA as needed
- Joint Commission readiness and regulatory compliance over site
- Oversee and maintain clinic vaccine cold chain process
- Collaborate with Finance Team, TL/DOS/ADoN to maintain and monitor capital budget
- Master's Degree
oPEPR’s (Performance Evaluation) on all direct reports
oTime & attendance
oSupport staff schedules:
§Approve requests for PTO and other time off etc.
§Balance requests to maintain adequate staffing to meet patient safety standards of care
§Collaborate with TL/DOS/Administrative Directors to coordinate monthly clinic schedules, and other coverageas needed
§Staffing Saturday clinics (if applicable)
oSupport staff and providers sick calls process (Coordinate with Clinic Leadership/DOS/Administrative Directors)
oMonitor and address SI reports within 7 business days
oConduct direct reports chart reviews
oAdhere to the Accountability Based Performance (ABP) standards.
oSupport and problem solve with providers when they have issues with other departments/staff/patients
o10% of management time should be devoted to supporting clinic staffing needs through direct patient care on unit
oManager must be able to perform essential duties direct reporting positions.
oReview data monthly and quarterly to meet ACS productivity targets
oAccess and communicates changes to the team.
Clinic administration:
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) from American Heart Association (Required) • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider Certification/CPR. • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider Certification/CPR.
