DSST Public Schools (DSST) seeks a Data Analyst (Entry Level) to join one of the leading charter school organizations in the nation. We serve 6-12th grade students across Denver and Aurora. Overview of Position: The Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and report on data to inform strategic decisions at DSST Public Schools. DSST Public Schools is a data-driven organization that believes that the daily use of data empowers students, teachers, staff, and leaders to inform, reflect upon, and adapt instruction and learning to meet individual student needs. This position will be a member of the Data & Assessment Department, the Teaching & Learning Service Team, and reports directly to the Director of Data & Assessment. Essential Functions: Receive, prioritize, and fulfill data pull and/or formatting requests from Home Office departments and schools Execute recurring analyses of student or staff data, including pulling, cleaning, and interpretation of data Quality check data reports Work with Home Office stakeholders to design or implement new analyses to answer pertinent questions Other duties as assigned based on organizational priorities. Job Requirements: DSST Public Schools seeks candidates with strong character, passion for excellence and a relentless commitment to student achievement. Bachelor's Degree required from accredited university, preferably related to statistics or other STEM field Experience in quantitative data collection, cleaning, analysis, interpretation, and reporting Proficient with Microsoft Excel Experience with R, Python, or other programming language preferred Experience with SQL preferred Vaccine Requirement: Per the public health order made by Denver Department of Public Health and Environment (DDPHE) on August 2, 2021, all personnel of schools must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by September 30, 2021. Compensation and Benefits: Starting salary for this position will begin at $47,000 and is commensurate with experience* *Final salary may be adjusted based on years of experience in a relevant, aligned role of similar level and responsibilities up to 6 years of experience.
