DOE's Clean Energy Corps is made up of staff from more than a dozen offices across DOE. Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR GS-15: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

  • Managing staff who perform administrative functions such as coordinating IT systems, property, space, personnel security, travel, controlled correspondence/ Freedom of Information Act requests, and records management; AND
  • Managing the review of documents (i.e., correspondences, policy documents and executive briefing material) that require responses for future decision making; AND
  • Representing an organization at meetings with internal partners to enhance the effectiveness of operations.

NOTE: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-15 level.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Responsibilities:

This series covers positions managing, supervising, leading, and/or performing administrative and management work.

as Administrative Services Directoryou may:

  • Direct the Administrative Services Office in the Operations and Management Division of the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations, including managing OCED IT systems, property, space, travel, controlled correspondence/ Freedom of Information Act requests, and records management.
  • Manage the daily operation and administration of OCED's Executive Secretariat functions, as well as considerable responsibility for the processing of documents that require the Office of the Director of Clean Energy Demonstrations review and clearance.
  • Ensure the tasking of written materials for review, response, or development is consistent with the organization's structure, the agency's mission, and the Director's priorities.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure written materials are well written, accurate, and timely.
  • Represent OCED at meetings with DOE headquarters entities and OCED divisions, and maintain strong, active connections to counterparts in other DOE Components.
  • Supervise a team of employees, including directing and reviewing work products and processes.
