Job Description

The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services including Information Technology project delivery, maintenance, and support. This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB and serves as a Senior IT Business Analyst for high priority assignments and projects supporting the Michigan Department of Corrections.

This Senior IT Business Analyst is required to collaborate with MDOC clients to review application security requirements, analyze data in support of projects, make recommendations for SSP process. Coordinate with MISAP team to develop a consensus for business and application/system requirements. They serve as the primary contact to champion the needs of the client and ensure adherence to DTMB IT standards throughout SSP process. This position will take on a lead role in completing the activities associated with System Security Plan (SSP). Establish action plans and completing application/system security analysis in coordination with the MDOC Agency Security Officer.

SIGNING BONUS:
This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Required Education and Experience

Education
Information Technology Programmer/Analyst P11/12
Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

Experience
Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12
Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.

Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.

Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
