The Software Developer - Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) works independently as a high-level technical specialist and team leader to CAPMAN (Capitation Payment Management System) by providing technical support to CAPMAN applications. The incumbent develops, promotes, and deploys the solution to CAPMAN systems, trains and provides technical consultation to .NET developers, and provides System Development Life Cycle support within the CAPMAN team. The Software Developer independently provides team leadership and is responsible for the deployment, implementation, and support of CAPMAN systems. The incumbent possesses a high level of knowledge and skill in database design, advanced report development, and Microsoft .NET architecture design considerations. These activities require the individual to analyze data, issues, and situations, provide sound deductive reasoning to identify problems, and develop sound effective solutions. The ITS I position requires a high level of technical skill to resolve issues on more complex systems software projects.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Expert knowledge of Windows 2012/2016 operating systems, Visual Studio 2010 or greater, .NET 4.0 , Microsoft Structured Query Language 2012/2016, and SQL Server Reporting Services.
- In-depth knowledge of application development and maintenance experience in Microsoft technology (.Net, SQL Server, Visual Studio)
- Experience of working in various Software Development Life Cycles
- Experience working with cloud development platforms
Education:
Four years of general information technology experience performing technical and/or analytical tasks for computer systems or services in any of the six domains or emerging information technology fields; or
120-semester units (or 180 quarter units) from an accredited college or university including at least 15-semester units (or 22.5 quarter units) of information technology or closely related course work; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education.
