What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Business Manager (div/f/m) position at DEPT®?
For our office in Cologne or remotely, we are looking for a dedicated New Business Manager (div/f/m) to strengthen our New Business Team and grow our international customer base. In your role you will be responsible for expanding our agency's footprint within our European key regions (DACH, United Kingdom, Netherlands) focusing on our Marketplace and Amazon service portfolio for category leading, global brands.
As part of our Account-Based Sales approach, you will build sustainable relationships with fitting brands and win them over multiple value creating touchpoints as our new clients. You adapt your reach-out plans to the individual needs of each account, stay on top of trends within your verticals and organize meetings with relevant stakeholders at suitable industry and DEPT® events.
You build a strong new business pipeline and develop the opportunities in your funnel independently and in a target-oriented manner.
Our Marketplaces and Amazon service business offers cutting edge services to leading global brands to become the market leader for their category on Amazon and other marketplaces. With our over 130 in-house experts solely focused on delivering Amazon services we are a tech enabled quality leader in our industry and are able to truly serve clients on a global scale.

YOU
- You are familiar with the Account-Based Sales approach and are capable of building long-term relationships and creating value with and for potential new corporate clients
- You have a proven track record in new business, sales or business development, preferably within a digital agency, media & advertising,or e-commerce environment
- You have comprehensive experience in developing opportunities along the entire sales funnel from initial meeting to signature. You identify, convince and foster relationships with key stakeholders and know how to negotiate initial contracts with them
- You create convincing and well-structured presentations, know how to direct a pitch team and always keep relevant deadlines in mind
- You build your own new business pipeline within relevant key verticals, develop new reachout ideas in collaboration with our operational departments and meet new clients at relevant trade fairs and events
- You work in a structured, binding and precise manner, deliver results quickly and always meet your high standards of work quality
- You are familiar with the daily use of CRM software such as Salesforce to track the development process of your leads, opportunities and contacts
- You are fluent in English (German language is a plus)
