SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports directly to Sr. Director of Finance and acts as designate when required (Cage/Count, Purchasing/Receiving)
  • Direct oversight of the Daily Audits (Gaming & Operations), General Ledger Accounting and Reconciliations.
  • Coordinates all standard and ad hoc financial reporting on a Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual basis.
  • Collaborates with corporate Finance/Accounting (Shared Services) on accounting treatment and standardization efforts.
  • Serves as property liaison for all internal and external audits and manages all audit-related communication.
  • Leads all efforts to enhance controllership, accountability, accuracy, automation and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for building annual budget and/or budget presentation as well as monthly EBITDA forecasts.
  • Analyzes and communicates variances to budget and forecast with follow-up to team leaders.
  • Serves as the property’s Custodian of Records and ensures the property’s internal controls are adequate.
  • Oversees the Capital Project process from developing business cases through to managing expenses and completion.
  • Recommends and leads new efforts to minimize risks, drive profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Monitors local and national business trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Provides financial and operational analysis in support of various projects and decisions
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

  • Leadership: a demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team and develop others into leaders.
  • Strategy and planning: an ability to identify opportunities to strategize and plan a year or two ahead.
  • Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, responsibilities and projects.
  • Proven technical skills and experience in financial planning, reporting, analysis and accounting.
  • Proven track record in training/developing talent, managing performance and holding others accountable.
  • Experience working on high-performance teams and comfortable working as part of a team.
  • Highly proficient problem-solver at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Experience working in environments that focus on the customer experience.
  • Strong public speaking/presentation and communication skills.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Gaming (Casino) / Hotel / F&B operations and accounting knowledge preferred.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel, Accounting Software (JDE), Excel GL Add-Ons (Spreadsheet Server).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • Graduate degrees and advanced certifications are a plus.
  • Must be able to obtain license to work at facility from KHRC.
