Marketing Coordinator

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively solicits new sales opportunities including event space and bus groups.
  • Coordinates and develops business with key accounts, secures repeat business through telesales, e-mail and direct mail efforts and prospect for new business.
  • Provides venue/pricing information and forwards contacts / leads to on property coordinator. May conduct tours of the facility on as needed basis.
  • Develops sales contracts and collects deposits and payments for events, and maintains the integrity of these programs to assure accuracy.
  • Assist with promotions and events as needed, coordinates assigned special projects for Marketing including miscellaneous community outreach, event coordination and execution and other assigned projects.
  • Plan and submit upcoming weekly agenda to Director of Marketing for approval as it pertains marketing support for group sales.
  • Various administrative responsibilities
  • Other marketing related duties as assigned

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Time management and record keeping relating to approved agenda submitted to Director of Marketing weekly
  • High level of professionalism with the ability to react under pressure
  • Successful completion of projects as assigned while adhering to the determined deadline
  • Guest relations and customer service skills.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in Marketing or related field
  • Bachelors’ degree in marketing, hospitality or similar field preferred
  • Ability to attain a valid racing license
