Job Posting for Cost Estimator at Derby Fabricating Solutions LLC

Description

This is an entry level hourly position. Job functions consist of, but are not limited to, costing, quoting, pre-production samples, along with the maintenance of the part files and the accuracy of the information within.

Responsibilities

  • Contact customer regarding costing, quoting, samples;
  • Generate cost sheets;
  • Initiating and coordinating sample production;
  • Generating quotes and sample documentation;
  • Communicate customer requirements to other departments;
  • Initiating and supporting efforts of other departments in the APQP process;
  • Document required operations per the quality system standard;
  • Calculate and actuate yearly price concessions;
  • All other work assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, Associate's Degree and experience acceptable;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel Access, PowerPoint, Outlook);
  • Good organization skills;
  • Self-motivated, ability to work in a deadline-driven environment;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented
