The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services. Accounts payable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring outgoing payments, and reconciling payables in a timely fashion.
Work Location: hybrid in our Sanford, Florida office.
Responsibilities:
- Receives, processes, verifies, and reconciles invoices for payment
- Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports
- Pays vendors, verifies federal ID numbers, prepares checks for payment
- Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports
- Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Manage company credit cards and associated expense reports
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Handle mail by opening, sorting and distributing it
- Assist with internal and external audits as needed
- Assist with year-end tax preparation of 1099s
- Assist Controller with administrative tasks as needed
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of experience with accounts payable or general accounting
- Bachelor’s degree
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of administrative duties – answering phones, sorting, filling, etc.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite a plus
