What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Manager position at Derive?

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Responsible for managing the facilities and maintenance department with emphasis on facility safety and compliance with local and Federal law along with the maintenance and upgrades of epitaxial reactors and supplemental equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order to maximize performance and output.
  • This position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer.


REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION

  • Manage and maintain the air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and other essential facilities and equipment.
  • Keep management informed of the condition of equipment and other systems.
  • Oversee the Maintenance and Facilities maintenance and repair of the facilities and equipment.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance on reactors and support equipment including support chillers/FCS Boilers.
  • Perform facility maintenance, repair, and upkeep.
  • Maintain inventory of parts required for the reactors and cleanroom equipment, O-rings, susceptors, and valves.
  • Perform reactor conversions and bottle changes in accordance with company standards.
  • Assist the process technicians and engineers to ensure quality processing and customer deadlines are met.
  • Troubleshoot daily problems that arise with the equipment performance.
  • Keep the Facilities & Maintenance Manager informed regarding parts and consumable inventories.
  • Suggest improvements for equipment and facility to add in repairs and improved utilization.
  • Comply with all company safety and environmental standards.
  • Report all breakage and damage to company property to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager.
  • Keep work area neat and organized including office area, gray room, cleanroom, and toolboxes.
  • Keep Manager informed of any supplies needed to perform the job.
  • Write and follow approved standard operations procedures.
  • Comply with the company’s quality control system to ensure customer’s schedule and quality expectations.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any safety concerns immediately to Manager.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the company’s quality system, adhering to all company quality procedures and ensuring all products produced meets the company quality objectives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Five (5) years or more of epitaxial equipment experience
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to details
  • Experience working as a Facilities Manager


PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Minimum of ten (10) years mechanical experience
  • Microsoft Office
  • Organizational skills
