Lab Tech - Process Development

Job Summary: Responsible for assisting in batch scale up and completing data entry in CMS as required. Oversees a safe and orderly laboratory environment.

Key Job Responsibilities

· Create manufacturing procedures for R&D as well as updating existing procedures to meet current specs and equipment as needed.

· Prepare lab batches and samples for clients if needed. Investigate/research problems/issues and bring them to the attention of supervisor.

· Procures raw materials along with documentation for lab batches and to be able to code new raw materials.

· Monitors the quality and conformity of formulas/batches.

· Handle multiple basic projects simultaneously.

· Demonstrates creativity and resourcefulness in proactively identifying and proposing solutions to issues that may arise during process development and in transfer to manufacturing.

· Under close supervision, completes tasks as directed. Adheres to set objectives and standards.

· Works with technical support groups including R&I, regulatory affairs, product development and Quality.

· Assist R&D with pilots, scale up and remediation.

· Create QAR – change Control documents for Quality Assurance and communicating with client for signatures/approval.

Competencies Required

· Basic knowledge in relevant scientific and technical field

· Basic laboratory skills

· Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation)

· Strong computer skills; Knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Knowledge of color matching a plus

Education and/or Equivalent Experiences

BS in Chemistry, Biology or related field of Science and-or 1-5 related work experience.

1 Years of laboratory experience including internship or college lab work experience

Pay: From $18.75 per hour
