    Des Moines Public Schools is seeking an Adolescent Literacy Curriculum Coordinator to serve at the high school level.

    Job Summary:
    The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for the development, management, and implementation of high-quality curriculum that is guaranteed and viable for every student. The Curriculum Coordinator will work within and across district departments to engage school leaders, teachers, and stakeholders in program development and implementation.
    Successful candidates for this position will possess:
    Valid Iowa teaching license w/ 5-12 Reading endorsement.
    Five years successful teaching experience.
    Building or district level leadership experience.
    Experience designing and facilitating professional development for small and large groups ofadults.
    Competency working in a culturally diverse environment, or the willingness to acquire these skills

    Position Details:
    230 days
    7.75 hours

    Candidates offered employment will be compensated based on the teacher salary schedule.
    The attached stipend ($5,000) is available for candidates who meet the hiring requirements in the stipend job description.

    • -a defined benefit plan
    Insurance Benefits

      • Employees can earn up to $600/year via participation in the Healthy U program.
