As an Outsides Sales Mortgage Loan Officer, a typical week might include the following…
Driving the Business Forward
Work within a defined geographic territory (state of Arizona) to close sales, win business, and reach sales goals. This might include outbound sales calls in order to develop and maintain a Realtor referral base, participating in external events in order to generate leads and develop other referral sources, and field sales visits.
Turning Prospects into Loyal Members (and your Biggest Fans)
Originating mortgage loan applications via in-person, telephone, web, and email channels, while maintaining a pipeline by attracting new mortgage loan applications.
Assisting in the collection of all required documentation in order to meet investor guidelines and maintain compliance.
Providing timely follow up on all originated mortgage loan applications with appropriate stakeholders.
Teamwork, teamwork, teamwork!
Connecting with other Desert Financial colleagues to build a network of internal partners.
Collaborating often to achieve sales together.
This role might be for you if:
You have proven sales skills in mortgage origination exceeding sales quotas/goals.
You have directly relevant work experience. To be successful, you’ll need 4-7 years of work experience with conventional and government loan products as well as 4-7 years of experience with a Mortgage Cadence Loan Origination System, or similar web-based LOS.
You pay attention to the details. You’ve cultivated in-depth knowledge of the mortgage industry including regulatory requirements and GSE guidelines and working knowledge of federal and state regulations for mortgage lending.
You think on your feet. You like learning new things, and you can learn quickly. When things change, you know how to roll with the punches.
You communicate clearly. You can explain just about anything to anyone and you’re comfortable communicating in person, in writing and on the phone.
You are motivated and driven. You volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked. You’re going to take ownership of the time you spend with Realtor partners and with members and truly make a difference.
You have a high school diploma, an Arizona driver license and registration with the National Mortgage Lending System and Registry (NMLS). NMLS registration can happen post-hire if you are not already registered.
