Interior Designer

Design 1 Kitchen & Bath is a design and build company, specializing in kitchens and baths. We operate a 3000 square foot showroom located in Bedford, MA with over 30 kitchen and bath displays.

Join one of the top 500 Remodeling design/build firms in the United States specializing in kitchens and baths! We are looking for a designer with enthusiasm for design and a desire to learn new things and work as part of our team on residential remodeling and new construction projects.

Daily tasks to include:

• Keep showroom materials organized and up to date.
• Designing interior spaces using 2020 CAD design software.
• Sales meetings with clients to review designs and project scopes to determine projected costs.
• Material selection meetings with clients and estimation of those materials and labor to finalize project costs.
• Assisting through the quoting stages and ordering of all materials for remodels including but not limited to cabinets, countertops, plumbing, hardware, lighting, windows & doors, tile, labor, and accessories.
• Produce project installation packets to include product specifications and details drawings for tile and cabinets.
• Assistant project management to include communication with trades in the field, collecting progress payments, arranging deliveries, and templates/installs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in residential interior design or other related fields.
• Familiarity with Photoshop, 2020, or other CAD software.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized and enthusiastic designer with sales experience.

We would like candidates who have had two years of experience working in a design position. They should have specific knowledge of materials, colors, and design. It would be great if they also had a general knowledge of construction and remodeling.

Hours: 9-5 Monday-Friday and some Saturdays 9-3

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
