Channel Development Lead – New Construction, Multi-Family & Hospitality

Job Overview

The Channel Development Lead position is part of the Design Imaging sales team and will be responsible for building Design Imaging’s presence in the new construction, multi-family and hospitality channels. We are seeking a seasoned sales professional who has experience in selling building materials into these channels. The position will require developing and executing a comprehensive sales plan to secure new business growth for the company in these channels. The ideal candidate will have previous relevant job experience with proven results and will be hungry for growth by taking on a new challenge with a fast-growing company. This is a base salary plus commission role.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Explore and locate new business opportunities in the new construction, multi-family and hospitality channels
  • Oversee lead generation, marketing and promotional activities to attract new business in these channels
  • Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline
  • Set individual and team goals to meet sales objectives
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials
  • Examine risks and potentials for new business opportunities
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Enhance Design Imaging’s recognition and reputation by promoting the company in these new channels
  • Participate in sales events including tradeshows and conferences
  • Travel to meet with business prospects (expected travel: 30%-50%)
  • Gather useful information from market research and competitor data
  • Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
  • Work with R&D team to develop new products that fit customer needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent level of work experience
  • 5 years of experience selling building materials in the new construction, multi-family and/or hospitality fields
  • A network of business contacts in the channels listed above
  • Sharp negotiation and networking skills
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques
  • Experience with managing sales programs and business processes
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and juggle competing priorities
  • Ability to keep commitments and deliver under pressure
  • Knowledge of construction materials and installation practices
  • Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential

We produce composite shower walls, shower bases and accessories that offer the look and beauty of natural stone at a fraction of the price. With a focus on growth and improvement, Design Imaging is dedicated to providing high-quality products to our diverse set of customers. Our products are sold through a network of dealers (bathroom remodeling contractors), as well as through large home improvement retailers, online retailers, RV manufacturers, and manufactured home companies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Business development: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Orem, UT 84057 (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
