Design One Printing, a premier provider of printing solutions, is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Customer Service Representative & Pre-flight Graphic Design Specialist. This position requires a unique blend of customer service skills, pre-flight expertise, and graphic design knowledge to ensure seamless interactions with clients while maintaining the quality and print-readiness of design files.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Address client inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally, striving to exceed customer expectations at every opportunity.
- Guide clients through the print ordering process, offering expert advice on product options, design specifications, and production timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders, while keeping clients informed of order status and updates.
- Pre-flight Graphic Design:
- Conduct comprehensive pre-flight checks on incoming design files to ensure they meet print specifications and requirements.
- Verify resolution, color mode, bleed, trim, and other technical aspects to ensure print readiness.
- Utilize graphic design skills and software proficiency (Adobe Creative Suite) to make necessary adjustments to client files, while maintaining design integrity and brand consistency.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to address any design-related issues or modifications, ensuring client satisfaction and print feasibility.
- Quality Assurance:
- Uphold rigorous quality control standards throughout the pre-flight and production process, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and print quality.
- Review printed proofs and samples to validate print accuracy and address any discrepancies or errors.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during production, working closely with the production team to resolve them efficiently.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and vendors to facilitate smooth project workflows and timely resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with the design team to share insights, best practices, and creative solutions for design and pre-flight challenges.
- Provide support and guidance to clients regarding design best practices, file preparation, and print-related inquiries.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Business, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in customer service, graphic design, and pre-flight preparation, preferably in a printing or graphic design environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of print production processes, file formats, and pre-press techniques preferred.
