Snow and Ice Territory Manager

Design Works is seeking an energetic Territory Manager to work collaboratively with our Snow and Ice Removal Team. The ideal candidate will be well-versed at snow and ice removal and have experience in managing snow operations at commercial properties. In this management role, you will work with our team to provide support and oversee the operation of sites, managing employees and customers, and ensure that snow/ice removal is completed in a safe, positive, and efficient manner for our customers in Southern, NH.

About this Position

The successful candidate will be relied on to provide reliable and consistent site support to our snow removal team and our customers. Assignments may include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in snow removal and operate equipment during snow/ice events. This position requires the manager to have a seat in a piece of equipment during the storm as well as management responsibilities.
  • Thoroughly understand the client’s site, scope of work, hours of operation, and expectations.
  • Monitor weather and weather events. Communicate start time.
  • Proactive preparation resources and communicating a plan of action with your team
  • Communicate with co-workers during weather events. Being available at all times.
  • Address client issues and questions as required.
  • Ensure that all areas under our responsibility are adequately, safely, and efficiently cleared of snow/ice.
  • Coordinate completion of duties, final cleanup, salting/brining
  • Documentation of employee time sheets and site reports
  • Perform site audits after storm
  • Champion a safety first and teamwork culture at all times
  • Facilitate post-storm inspections of vehicles and equipment and performing routine maintenance. Ensure company resources are being taken care of.
  • Follow and promote company policies, procedures, and safety.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications.

  • Available to be on-call 24/7 and has ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and long hours
  • Minimum 2-5 years of proven experience in snow/ice removal
  • Possess strong experience in operating snow removal vehicles/equipment
  • Proven management experience
  • Mechanical knowledge
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Positive, self-motivated and reliable
  • Ability to multi task and can work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and creates natural interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to accurately keep records and stay organized using our time-tracking and audit software.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme cold
  • Experience in the landscaping, construction, mechanical fields and/or relevant trades
  • Valid Driver’s License in MA/NH
