Work with Production Supervisor (Alfonso) on the following:
What do we need to produce?
What is the quantity?
What is the ship date or deadline for production completion?
What items have priority (based on ship dates or other reasons)?
Are we running any orders that we have had issues achieving the rate in past?
Work with Office Administrator on the following:
Do we have the rate sheets (Daily Production Rate Sheet & Hour by Hour Sheet)?
Does the number of people on the rate sheet match what we physically have on the line?
Work with the Line Lead on the following:
Review the line set up with the Line Lead:
How are the parts presented to the employees on the line?
Should the parts be presented on the wood shelves or tables next to the conveyor?
Do you have enough tables or too many tables?
Are the tables positioned so the people can work at their peak performance?
Do the employees need pallet stools?
Do we have enough trash cans?
Are the trash cans in the most optimal position?
What is each person on the line responsible for?
Is the line balanced? Is the work load evenly distributed throughout the line?
Are there too many people on the line? Are there not enough people on the line? Is the line running too slow for the number of people on the line?
How is the Line Lead managing the WIP?
Did they define the minimum and maximum quantities of WIP for each item?
