Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Ice Rink Attendant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with the public and creating a wonderful memory for our guests. Experience in cash handling, guest services, and customer service is highly valued.
Overall DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sell, take tickets and issue, clean and put away skates
- Sharpen skates. Full training in this area will be provided
- Process all cash received and count change accurately in accordance with cash handling policy
- Making sure all entrances are clear and safe of debris and snow
- Assist the Shift Lead with opening/closing the facility
- Provide information and direction in a positive and friendly manner
- Handle phone inquiries
- Participate in keeping all areas of the venue and facility neat, clean and safe at all times
- Communicate guidelines and rules to the public over the microphone and face to face
- Perform gate guard duties:
- Checks wrist bands to verify the purchase of a skate pass before letting guests on the ice
- Enforce rules
- Keeps accurate count of guests within the rink
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Assist in all rentals
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Must be able to work well in a team environment
- Must have the ability to recognize problems as they arise and bring them to the attention of the Shift Lead or Skate Manager(s).
- Must have the ability to be firm with participants when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, facilities and equipment. An ability to interact and communicate well with others is essential
- Be able to follow safety guidelines and exercise good judgment in all aspects of responsibility

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 16 years or older
- Be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Customer service experience
- Experience handling cash and POS system
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of environments including but not limited to loud noise around crowds, and flashing lights
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time on concrete
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge of, or willing to quickly learn, about Destination Caldwell and Indian Creek Plaza
- Must be willing to submit to background check in accordance with the cash handling policy
