Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our team. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and fostering their love for math. Duties:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Deliver instruction in various mathematical concepts, including NYS Math Standards (Algebra, Measurement, Geometry, Mathematical Reasoning, Operations, & More)
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and collaboration among students
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their growth
- Provide individualized instruction or tutoring to students who require additional support or enrichment
- Utilize technology and other resources to enhance the learning experience
- Promote critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning among students
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects or activities that integrate math with other subjects
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Teaching certification or license in Mathematics Education preferred
- Previous experience teaching mathematics at the middle school or high school level is preferred

- Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum frameworks and educational standards
- Familiarity with special education accommodations and strategies for diverse learners
- Proficiency in using technology tools for instruction and assessment
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to plan and organize lessons effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
