Chaplain Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain to join our team. As a Chaplain, primary function is to provide spiritual care in the home to terminally ill patients and their families. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the hospice patient and offer spiritual counseling and emotional support to patients, families, and staff
• Conduct religious services and provide sacraments as needed
• Provide bereavement support to individuals who have experienced loss
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Attend IDG/IDT Meetings and paticipaite in the patient care planning process
• Assist in event planning for religious holidays and special occasions
• Write and deliver sermons, prayers, and other spiritual messages
• Mentor and provide leadership to volunteers in the chaplaincy program

Qualifications:

• Possess a degree in theology, divinity, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred
• One- year Hospice experice as a chaplian
• Ordination or endorsement by an appropriate religious authority
• Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Working knowledge of community spirtual and other resourses

Pay: $45,361.00 - $51,568.00 per year
