Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The Accounting Supervisor will process, maintain and produce records and reports of financial transactions and support the accounting overhead and project accounting duties including operating and project budgets, cost accounting for projects, and proposal pricing supporting internal and external customers.

Duties include:

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management as required.

Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in the accounting system from documents such as invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts.

Supports the Controller and Project Managers in preparation and maintenance of budgets, plans, projections and other financial management documents to include project- and Division-level interim and final profit and loss summary and detail statements, budget versus actual analysis reports, labor budgets, cashflow projections, cost control, and operational overhead budgets.

Compiles and provides management reports to show statistics such as expenditures, accounts payable and receivables, project/Division profit and loss, job-costs, committed costs, staff utilization reports, and other items pertinent to operation of the Division and the overall business.

Supports Corporate Accounting in financial data collection and entry into the accounting system to include employee timesheets, project and overhead expenses including subcontracts, supplies, materials and travel expenses.

Provide support for management of accounts payment, timely invoicing of customers per schedules and milestones.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

No specific non-English skills are required; however, foreign language skills are a plus as approx. half of the Company's business is overseas.

Math Ability:

Strong financial math skills to include abliity to calculate figures and amounts such as job costs, cashflow, interest, commissions, taxes, ratios, proportions, percentages, and similar financial accounting principles

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an experienced level knowledge of MS Office & Quickbooks.

Certificates and Licenses:

Accounting Degree and relevant certifications preferred, but not mandatory.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 0-5 employees based on workload in the Accounting Department, Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
