What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Intern position at Detroit Lions?
The IT Intern will provide first level support to internal and external Football Operations staff. Support can include system support, user support, testing, and/or documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Information Technology Intern position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:
- Investigate user problems and identify their source; determine possible solutions; test and implement solutions
- Traditional desktop support, including computer hardware/software imaging and repair & maintenance of computer systems, desktops, and peripherals
- Create documentation for end users on applications and processes
- Support video system hardware utilized by coaching and personnel departments
- Manage of Active Directory user & computer accounts and group policies
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network
- Educate users on basic functionality of software and hardware
- Provide computer orientation to new and existing company staff
- Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, by phone or email
- Maintain and update computer hardware and software inventories on a regular basis

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Recent graduate or senior in College pursuing degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Technical Certificate or Associate Degree required.
- Ability to create and implement operating system images
- Excellent general computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Ability to effectively diagnose and repair computer hardware and software problems (In-person and remotely)
- Ability to work well with people in a support and training role
- Flexibility to work non-standard business hours in support of games at the venue, as required. This includes evening and weekend duties
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- May require work out of both the Ford Field Management Office and the Allen Park Training Facility
- A valid Driver’s License and good driving record
