DescriptionWe are seeking a CNC Operator to join our growing team! The operator will be responsible for following machine setup instructions to produce parts within specification within specified times. Checking in-process parts for conformance to specifications; adjust machine and tooling to maintain run within control limits. Maintain the run by loading and unloading parts and raw material; checking coolant levels; replacing chip bins; etc. Communicate to Team Lead discrepancies, or problems with equipment, material, tooling, or operating procedures. Measure parts with appropriate precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Completely deburr, pack, and move completed parts. Use floor terminals to report work as performed in real time. Operate more than one machine simultaneously. Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Experience and Abilities:
- At least two years’ experience with machine operation
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence.
- Capability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Talent to convert between metric and imperial units.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Work Environment:
- Frequently lifting or moving average weight material.
- Occasionally lifting or moving average weight material in difficult work positions.
- Ability to lift, move, pull, push, or carry anywhere from 5 to 25 lbs. with a max of 50 lbs. at times.
