About the team:
Fraud Fusion Engineering and Data Science team maintains a systematic, proactive process for identification of fraud trends, assessment, and correction of actual and potential loss exposures throughout FIS to minimize unintended impact and potential costs from unmitigated business risks while enhancing customer and corporate value. They build out the Fraud Fusion technology to support real-time capabilities to mitigate fraud within the payment ecosystem, by working alongside internal and external partners. They support Fraud Fusion Operations, Financial Crimes team, and other internal partnerships within the line of business or technology.
What you will be doing:
Develop core versions of software applications for FIS Fraud Fusion. Identifies client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. Interacts with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software. Work with internal technology and external developers to build out our Cyber mitigation capabilities within a fraud landscape which supports our Fraud Fusion capabilities to create real-time alerting.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role :
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies Fraud Fusion software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially.)
- Interacts with fraud and technical product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
- Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
- Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
- Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
- Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- Knowledge of FIS products and services; in-depth knowledge of products and services in assigned line(s) of business.
- Strong analytical, statistical, technical writing, and problem-solving.
- Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner including presentations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization in an organized, professional manner.
- Ability to provide information to a variety of audiences and deal effectively with issues that are confidential and sensitive in nature.
Added bonus if you have:
- Ability to work alongside data scientists to design technical specifications to action real-time alerting for fraud events.
- Ability to assist in system integrations, middleware development, and leveraging APIs.
- Knowledge of Elastic-based solutions, Python scripting, and other data science platforms.
