Key Responsibilities:
- Support the collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to establish complete and accurate data, defined processes and controls and disclosures for compliance with the proposed SEC ESG rules and California's passed ESG legislation
- Perform technical accounting research and analysis for ESG compliance
- Assist with technical accounting research and contract review to propose accurate accounting treatment for various items, including leases, fixed assets, expense recognition, capitalization of software and cloud computing costs, revenue recognition, etc
- Draft accounting treatment outlines/memos that summarize relevant facts, accounting guidance, key business considerations and impacts and technical accounting conclusions
- Efficiently and effectively communicate accounting guidance and treatment to stakeholders verbally and in writing
- May assist with research and evaluation of GAAP accounting implications for new business strategies and new SEC reporting rules and regulations
- Cross-train and support other monthly accounting and external reporting responsibilities of the team, including SEC, broker-dealer and FEC reporting
What You Need:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4 years of related experience
- Proficient knowledge of GAAP, SEC Reporting and internal controls (SOX)
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
- Strong investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and independently
Salary : $60,500 - $76,600
