Custodial Job Description:
Custodial is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding areas. Their duties include vacuuming floors, sanitizing restrooms, and collecting trash to ensure the building’s occupants have a clean space.
Custodial main responsibility:
- Cleaning wood, Tile, Concrete, and Carpet
- Shampooing rugs and carpets
- Emptying trash
- Cleaning vents
- Dusting all surfaces
- Waxing and stripping floors
- Cleaning restrooms
- Washing windows and doors
- Sweeping sidewalks
- Maintaining a thorough inventory
- Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners
Custodial Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds
- Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
- Time management and multitasking abilities
- Organization skills
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
Custodial Education: Must have high school diploma or GED
Job Type: Contract
Pay: Up to $15.00 per hour
