We are currently offering a $3,000 SIGN ON BONUS to brand new full time employees working over 37.5 hours per week or a $1,500 SIGN ON BONUS for part time employees working 20 or more hours per week.

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located at our main campus in Red Hook, Dutchess County, NY, this position develops and revises physical educational and health curriculum to meet the physical, emotional, creative, and educational needs of assigned students by preparing course outlines and lesson plans as required by guideline policies. They will establish a safe environment conducive to maximum academic and social learning by maintaining order and guiding students to socially appropriate behavior. The PE Teacher supervises students during school-related activities (class trips, extracurricular activities, meals, etc.) as assigned.
Salary Range: $38500 - $51000 / year, based on education, certifications, and experience.

Qualifications
Education : BS Degree and NYS Certification in Physical Education
Experience : Two years experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities is preferred.
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidates understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
