What are the responsibilities and job description for the UAV Pilot position at Deveron Corp.?
Deveron Corp. is actively recruiting for experienced Part 107 Drone pilots gathering aerial imagery data from agricultural crops.
APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A CURRENT PART 107 CERTIFICATION FROM THE FAA.
This position will be a full-time work starting March 2022 for up to 10 months with the potential to extend to a full-time collector position year-round. Each pilot will be assigned one location with a radius of about 50 miles. Within this radius pilots will be responsible to collect aerial imagery for 10 000 acres flown 3-5 times throughout the summer. Each field will be flown on a set interval based on the planting date and weather.
All training and equipment will be provided by Deveron and our client. Aircraft to be flown will be the DJI M300 with custom Multi-Spectral and RGB sensors from client. Also provided are laptops for pre-flight and post-flight operations. You will be required to attend a 2-3 day in-person training session and complete online training meetings in preparation.
Pilots will be responsible for all equipment; daily inspections, clean, safe storage and returning in the same state received. All pilot kits must be complete and cleaned prior to returning.
Pilots can expect to flying hundreds of hours continuously throughout the summer. THIS IS A FULL TIME POSITION and Deveron is looking for serious pilots who are ready to put in a full day’s work each day. This includes working weekends, holidays, and long hours.
In field collection is only half of the position. Pilots will be required to schedule flights, complete logs, and upload data. Organization, communication, and efficiency are highly valued skills.
Compensation will be paid at an hourly rate of $14.00 - $16.00 an hour, overtime will be paid for any hours that exceed 40 hours in a calendar week. Personal vehicles will need to be reliable, maintained, and fitting for carrying equipment and traveling in rural areas. Mileage will be reimbursed at a rate of $0.58 cents per mile. In the event a rental car is needed Deveron will cover costs and coordinate with pilot to arrange. The potential for overnight stay in a hotel may arise. Deveron will cover the costs of these expenses for reasonable stay and rate. You will be required to submit all receipts and follow all reporting polices.
